Registered Social Work Intern
Ashlee Kasten is a Registered Social Work Intern. Over the last 15 years, Ashlee has dedicated her professional life to the betterment of children and adolescents as both a Social Worker and Early Childhood Educator. She worked in both California and Florida counseling young children and adolescents through outreach programs. Ashlee employs a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Solution Focused and Strength-Based techniques as well as Cognitive Behavioral and Behavioral interventions.
In addition to Ashlee’s passion for counseling children and adolescents, she is also driven to help educate today’s youth. Over the last 10 years, she has had a prominent role in developing the skills of children, ages 18 months to 6 years of age through teaching academic, motor, cognitive, social/emotional, self help skills and more. She believes that each child is unique and that one model does not fit all individual needs. She believes it is important to work closely with the individual’s entire family system to develop the best strategies to make each child and adolescent successful in all areas.
In addition to working with children, Ashlee uses evidence-based practices to work with adolescents and young adults to treat Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder, Substance abuse and other related disorders.
She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University and her Masters in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University. She has worked in a variety of settings including schools, non-profit agencies, mental health centers, substance abuse rehabilitation facilities, and hospitals.
